This project is a conversion of an existing barn and stables into a house with two courtyards. A new terrace and entry pavilion in concrete, inserted between the existing stone walls, connects the two buildings. Volumes made of wood panels structure the interior of the barn. The angular forms of the insertions are carefully articulated to heighten the play of sunlight within the building, accentuating the contrast between the wood and the rough stone walls.
The project responds to an ambitious ecological program, including the use of quality, untreated and long-lasting building materials - notably the structural wood-panels - carefully elaborated daylighting, and a bio-dynamic heating system using the earth around the house as a heat sink.

Ce projet est la reconversion d'une grange et une étable en une maison. La connexion entre les deux bâtiments se fait par un pavillon d'entrée et terrasse en béton du site entre les murs existants en pierre. L'intérieure de la grange est aménagée avec des insertions en contreplaqué bois, de formes angulaires, accentuant le jeu de lumière et mettant en valeur la pierre.
Le projet répond à un programme écologique ambitieux, comprenant la géothermie pour le chauffage et l'utilisation de matériaux pérennes non traités pour la construction.
